The Millennium Green
The award-winning Millennium Green was created from wasteland by local residents in the year 2000.
It provides colour and interest throughout the year and a safe haven for both people and wildlife close to the busy town centre.
You will find it tucked away down an alleyway off Newgate Street near to the Old Bakehouse Yard Cafe.
It is open every day until dusk. Everyone is welcome.
If you would like to get involved either with the gardening or by contributing funds for upkeep either contact the secretary
alternatively please join us in the Green on the 2nd MOnday in the month at 10 for and hour or two of gardening

How to find the Millennium Green :- walk up Newgate st away from the town. Turn into a alleyway opposite to T&G Allans into the old bake house yard walk passed the cafe and turn left through the gates, signposted at this point.
