April - Busy Bee WorkshopIn April each year the Green is one of the venues for the Morpeth Gathering, a two-day celebration of traditional Northumbrian dance, music and fun and games.
There is story-telling in the Green and sometimes dancing and in the past the Trustees have run a bird and bat box making workshop for youngsters on the Saturday afternoon.
In 2015 it was on Saturday 11 April from 1 to 3pm and took the form of a "busy bee" workshop. Children were helped to build bee homes using materials provided for a small charge. The Alnwick Bee Keepers Association demonstrated a hive and there was a stall giving information about attracting bees into your garden. Bee friendly flower seeds were on sale.
June - Garden FeteOur main event of the year is the Garden Fete. This is open to the public and shows off the Green at its best in June. We run a very successful plant stall stocked by Trustees and Friends, a cake stall, a book/CD stall and a tombola. There are games and puzzles for children. Refreshments are laid on. The money raised helps to buy new plants for the Green.
In 2015 it was on 6 June, 11am to 2pm.

August - Music in the Green
For the first time, in 2013, we held a successful new event, Music in the Green. Several local singers and musicians entertained us with a mixture of traditional, pop and folk songs.Over a hundred people filled the Green. In 2014 it was held on Sunday 24 August and was a great success once again. The next occasion will be in 2016. Finally, on 13 September, the Green was one of the venues for Morpeth's Heritage Weekend. Displays and maps were shown about the Medeaval layout of Morpeth by Bridget Gubbins. The Millennium Green is set within two of the original burgage plots of the town and provides a fine view of its ancient layout.
